Ajang penghargaan game tahunan, The Game Awards, akan kembali digelar. Rencananya acara ini akan diselenggarakan pada 11 Desember 2025.
Kabarnya, pihak penyelenggara akan melaksanakan keseruannya di Peacock Theater, Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat. Untuk saat ini, secara total, terdapat 29 kategori yang tersedia. Kemungkinan jumlahnya akan menjadi 30 seperti tahun lalu, dengan kategori Players Voice menyusul.
Pada tahun 2024 yang lalu, game yang meraih penghargaan di kategori Players Voice ialah Black Myth: Wukong. Bahkan game ini juga memperoleh penghargaan di kategori lain sebagai Best Action Game.
Namun sayang, ketenarannya saat itu belum dapat menandingi game kepunyaan Sony PlayStation. Astro Boy sukses menyabet banyak penghargaan di The Game Awards 2024, mulai dari Best Family, Best Action/Adventure, Best Game Direction, hingga yang paling bergengsi Game of the Year.
